This platter, handmade from retired aluminum road signs and recycled copper
rivets by artist and metalsmith Boris Bally, is easily displayed on a wall
with the pre-drilled hanging hole, or used to serve fruit or dry food.
Because traffic signs have different patinas developed over time by exposure
to weather, no two platters look exactly alike, but all feature the
international symbol for bicycle traffic, an eco-friendly way to travel.
Boris Bally is a metalsmith whose work is included in the permanent
collections of the Museum of Art and Design, New York, New York; The
Victoria and Albert Museum, London, England; the Mint Museum,
Charlotte, North Carolina and many others.
