These unique handmade cards are the ultimate in eco-friendly living. Made from 100 percent
post-consumer recycled fiber printed with soy ink, the notes are embedded with a variety of wildflower seeds:
Annual Gaillardia, Baby's Breath, Catchfly, Siberian Wallflower, Chinese Houses, Baby Blue-Eyes and California
Bluebells! After the recipient reads and cherishes your note (the cards are blank so you can personalize them)
they can plant it and flowers will bloom! Easy planting instructions appear on the back of each card, along
with the seed content. Each handmade tree free paper card will recycle naturally into the soil as the seedlings
grow. The paper envelopes for these cool note cards contain 30 percent post consumer waste.
Artist Bio
The eco-friendly Green Field Paper Company has been making paper by hand, one sheet at a time, since 1992. They
use a number of environmentally friendly techniques to produce tree free paper: they reuse the water used in
producing the paper, use no new trees in manufacturing their paper, and they offset 100% of the energy used in
their offices and manufacturing studios with wind power credits. In 1997 and 2007 the City of San Diego named
Green Field Paper Company the Recycler of the Year.
